Publications New Special Issue of the Journal of Transcultural Studies, “Ambivalent Enmity”
A new Special Issue of the Journal of Transcultural Studies, entitled “Ambivalent Enmity”, was published on May 6. Guest Editors were Johannes Becke and Joachim Kurtz.
The issue features contributions by Tanja Penter, Svenja Taubner, Monica Juneja, Johannes Becke, Joachim Kurtz, and Sebastian Harnisch (all of Heidelberg), as well as Derek Penslar (Harvard). This Special Issue is one of the first major fruits of the postgraduate research and training program “Ambivalent Enmity: Dynamics of Antagonism in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East”, located at Heidelberg University and the Heidelberg University of Jewish Studies. That program got underway in 2023, and is financed by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG).
